Nashawtuc Architects Inc. is a full-service, woman-owned architectural firm based in Concord since 1988. Although our experience includes commercial and educational structures, our reputation is built on residential additions, which have helped families and individuals of all ages adapt their homes to better suit their needs. The firm has also designed duplexes and assisted with multifamily projects.

Nashawtuc Architects Inc. has served local businesses and institutions. As architects for the Gatehouse in West Concord, we adapted an old building for retail use, providing handicapped access through a post-and-beam barn addition. At Concord Academy, we have completed the adaptive reuse of a historic carriage house as faculty apartments. The consulting services we provided to the Trustees of Parish Donations at First Parish regarding their historic properties led to Nashawtuc Architect's tenancy in their most historic building, The Wright Tavern.

Our first goal is to provide service to our clients that exceeds their expectations, from programming through the construction phase of each project. The track record of repeat customers attests to that fact. In addition, we strive to respect the context in which we work. This includes the immediate building or buildings as well as the neighborhood setting. We maximize the opportunities for natural light and views, while solving our clients' needs for functional space and aesthetically enriching surroundings. The same goals are set for all of our projects, despite space and budget restrictions.

Founder and principal Holly B. Cratsley, AIA is a registered architect with 25 years of experience in architectural design and planning. She earned her architectural degree from the Boston Architectural Center, where she received the AIA Gold Medal of Excellence Award in 1984. In 1988, after 10 years of experience as an associate in other firms, Ms. Cratsley founded Nashawtuc Architects Inc. Ms. Cratsley personally oversees every project and employs a staff of seven, with broad-based experience in residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

Nashawtuc Architects Inc. is a fully automated office. Construction documents are produced on DataCAD 10 and can be transcribed to any other computer using DataCAD or AutoCAD.
