Holly B. Cratsley, AIA,  Principal

Holly Cratsley is the Principal of Nashawtuc Architects, Inc. which she founded in 1988. She has built an office centered on client service and dedicated to designs that are responsive to the Owners' needs and to the context of the building.

The producers of PBS's The New This Old House Hour selected Holly as their first woman architect for the project entitled "The Concord Cottage." Her work has been featured on NECN's New England Dream House and HGTV's Curb Appeal and highlighted in numerous trade publications. She has been cited by readers of Women's Business Boston as one of the region's "Top Ten Female Architects".

Holly believes in giving back to her Concord community. Her civic activities include five years as an elected Commissioner of the Concord Housing Authority, Chair of various municipal Task Forces and Mentor in the School/Business Partnership. For twelve years she coordinated a course through the Concord-Carlisle Adult Education that showcased the work of residential architects. She is an active member of the Concord Business Partnership and Chamber of Commerce and a Board member of the Trapp Family Lodge Cooperative Housing.

Holly has made herself and the office available to non-profit organizations, donating many hours to the Pine Street Inn, Habitat for Humanity, Renewal House, Emerson Umbrella, Concord Museum and Concord Visitor Center. Internationally, she assisted in the design of a Dormitory in Cambodia for the Harpswell Foundation.

An alumna of the Boston Architectural College, Holly has remained involved with the College as a faculty member, thesis review critic, Chair of the Educational Policy Committee and member of the Board of Trustees. She also holds degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Maryland.

Holly is a Registered Architect in Massachusetts and has served on panels at AIA National Conventions and BSA Trade Shows.

"Holly embodies everything one could wish for in an architect: an ability to understand and incorporate a client's unique needs, including financial constraints, and to manage - with diplomacy and precision - the creation and construction of practical structures of great beauty. After completing one project with Holly, you'll relish another."
