Producers of PBS's The New This Old House Hour asked if we could help transform a 19th Century Barn into a two-story home for an elderly couple. The challenge was that the local Zoning Board would only allow a 20% increase in the size of the already-small Barn.

We designed the First Floor for future handicap accessibility. The Bathroom, Living Room, Kitchen and Dining Rooms can be adapted to allow one-story living. We lowered the second floor and added two dormers.
