1926 Edwardian Revival

The Challenge

This 1926 Edwardian House had been built on six levels. Even the public rooms were not all on the same floor. The Kitchen was cramped for a family that loves to entertain with food as much as Julia Child.

The Response

We relabeled rooms, moving the Living Room onto the main floor with the Dining Room. We reorganized the original Kitchen as a chef's kitchen and added a Greenhouse for dining. A hidden Pantry reduced clutter and a back staircase placed the Kitchen in the center of the circulation pattern.
